I Love This Reading

The reading by James Middleton at the wedding of his sister Kate to Price William.

I APPEAL to you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God - what is good and acceptable and perfect. Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honour. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are. Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Romans 12: 1-2, 9-18

Why We Really Celebrate Easter

Greatest man in history, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him... He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. Hallelujah! He is risen!

Ninety Eight Days

More sorting in the kitchen .done this morning.
Made some cranberry flapjack. They went down good style with my daughter. She called for a cuppa this morning not long after the flapjacks came out of the oven.  So we had a couple of warm pieces and she took some home, threatening to hide them from the kids:) I took some into work and they didn't last long there. Ralph thought they were very nice too.

Played with my new toy after Clair left,

I am delighted with it.  It is Tim Holtz's new Vagabond and I love it.

Didn't want to go to work, really wanted to stay home and play, but I did go, with lots of ideas flying round my head. Work was busy but relaxed.

Healthy Eating Good.
Moving Good
Mood Great.

Ninety Nine Days

Another great day, sorted some kitchen stuff, gave away a load of silicone bakeware, I just don't get along with it. sorted six drawers in the kitchen. Feeling quite satisfied with my decluttering and tidying over the past two days, but still a lot to do. The sun has been shining, but the wind was cold. Got two lines of washing dried so there is an empty laundry basket in the bathroom:)

Healthy eating is great.
Moving is great.
Mood is Fab!

Long may it continue.

Happy Mothers Day

A father may turn his back on his child, brothers and sisters may become inveterate enemies, husbands may desert their wives, wives their husbands. But a mother's love endures through all.

Happy Birthday Mam.

My mam would have been 86 today. She was quite a woman, she didn't have an easy life.  In fact just as her life started to get a little easier, the Good Lord took her.  She passed away peacefully, reading the tv listings on April 26th 2003.

I could write reams and reams about her and our relationship, but not today.  Today I just want to remember her.  It is Mothers Day here in the UK tomorrow, so her loss is a double dose this weekend. I will just say, if you still have your mum, whether you have a good, bad or indifferent relationship with her.  Once she has gone, you will never ever feel the same.  Once your mother has gone, a place in your heart and soul will feel bereft and lonely.

Happy Birthday Mam, hope you are dancing in Heaven.

Day One of a Hundred

"It's spring fever.  That is what the name of it is.  And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!"
-  Mark Twain

So very true.

One Hundred Days

I am going to take 100 days, beginning on April 1st, to start making some changes around here.I am feeling Fat, Old, Achy, Lazy, Idle and much more.I am surrounded by Stuff. I am going to change all of that. This time I am going to succeed. No diet's. I am done with dieting. I gave up bread for Lent, it has been a struggle, but I have stuck at it. I would love to be able to say I am feeling better for it, but do you know something? I don't. So it is not bread that is making me feel bloated and heavy. So I need a plan, to see me through 100 days to a better place, physically, healthily and spatially. I am away to to that right now.

My Birthday

Today was my birthday.
It was brilliant.
I was spoilt rotten.

The older I get, the better my birthdays are.
In the past they were recognised, but not special.
Since being with Ralph, he makes every day special.
But birthdays are Extra Special.

I am a Very Lucky Lady.
